ONE LIFE MATTERS
For years, Michael Land has been building a name for himself as a soulful pop artist with the unique ability to connect to a broad audience, including opening for notable artists like Rob Thomas and performing at hundreds of events each year for people of all walks of life. But in 2018 his foundation began to crumble, and although Michael grew up singing in church and had a lot of spiritual head knowledge, he didn’t have a firm footing in life and desperately needed his foundation to be rebuilt. This soul-searching journey eventually brought him back to a love for God’s Word and a passion to sing and write about his faith, and the songs started to flow.
Michael was compelled to sing about the love of God that was so powerfully shown through what Jesus did on the cross, the greatest act of self-giving love in history. This led to the writing and release of his most recent single One Life Matters. The title is obviously an attention grabber with all of the recent news, but through this song, Michael is asking that everyone stop and look at the cross and remember how Jesus emptied Himself so that we can have true freedom; which is the kind of freedom and love that Michael has experienced in a new a fresh way and has led to a full-length album which is currently in the works.
When Michael is not singing and writing music he can be found playing basketball with his five children and going on walks with his wife. He loves to read in his spare time and cook plant-based meals to feed all his hungry, growing teenagers.
